I'm sorry that I will not be w/you guys as you meet w/our youth, but I'm obligated to another role. In saying as much, it just seems that every idea I have suggested has been shot down, is it because I will not be there, if so, so be it. I have tried to contribute but at this point I have nothing left to share.
In order for this to be successful, it is going to take a group effort. One person shouldn't have all of their ideas on paper. I think we need to remember that we only have 50 minutes, AGES 10-17 and try to figure out what the goal or personal touch is going to be. I suggested that out in class several times but someone else was heard with the same idea. That's what I get for sitting in the back! I want the kids to receive someting tangible while contributing somehow with the skits.
I don't know why all of Mrs. Watson's ideas have been shot down but I do agree that this project has to be a group effort. Even though some people will not be able to attend this event, their options as to what could possibly be something we could do should be valued just as much as people who will be attending.
mrs Watson, i dont know why either your ideas have got shot down either, but i did realized in class that by me missing that day of class(track meet) alot was discuss and when new ideas were brought to the table it seemed as thought some felt we already have this ideal...kwel beans but i just want the youth to leave with a great impression that they learned something from our workshop and they didnt regret coming...seeyou'll in class and please while discussing in class lets be fair and hear everyone's ideas....and then speak as soon as something is brought to the table dnt speak out and say NO...OR I THINK....GIVE YOUR OPINION AT THE END...I THINK THAT WOULD BE A WAY EVERYONE CAN HEAR EVERYONE AND THE PROJECT CAN BE A SUCCESS
Yesterday, by forming groups w/ assigned task, all involved had an opportunity to give their ideas on the task assigned. Our task is extras! We all agreed on what would be used and I went today to price the items need, bought a few, so now we are read!!
